Pleats and fold Technqiues

For my assignment, I completed research on pleating methods. I used the skills I had learned in undergraduate origami workshops, where we created creative three-dimensional forms out of a single piece of paper. When I go back to my youth, paper played a key role.

In addition to drawing on paper, I also made my parents birthday cards, gathered writing paper, stickers, and bookmarks. Along with doing paper cut outs and origami with my classmates in school, I also made paper plane and boat. It's safe to say that paper governed my childhood. Learning to fold, which entails making a crease in the paper so that it can be folded easily, is one of the most fundamental procedures. I drew lines on the paper using a pencil and a metal ruler. Marking straight lines is another crucial step to keep in mind while making precise folds. Straight line folding is simple, but patience is necessary if you're folding bigger items. Additionally, curves make it more difficult, thus the weight of the paper must be taken into account. As a designer, I've discovered that it's crucial to work with basic materials like paper and mould it into a shape or form in order to inspire new ideas.
